Started out with one humble outlet in Changkat, back in 2005, Kana Theva is not a stranger in the hospitality industry. Back then getting a good and well cooked steak was not as easy as nowadays, this is when Kana saw the opportunity and took the leap to start the business on his own. Backed with a good sense of business and great customer service, the one outlet has become the favorite of the many expats and locals that live around the Changkat area. It was hard to get tables on the weekends back then (as it is also nowadays) people queuing up to visit Pampas, for we are well-known for the perfectly done steak, each and every time. We rarely have comments where customers are not happy with the steak. Of course it’s not perfect all the time, but we do try hard to ensure every single steak that we serve is satisfactory.

This is my first time and will definitely come again. Being greeted by Mr. Salam makes me feel appreciated. The service by all the staff is very friendly. The food we ordered arrived quickly. Most excited about the crispiness of the onion rings. My husband was also excited about the steak that suited his taste. I chose pasta and the kids definitely fish and chips. When I come to eat, I am very concerned about the condition of their toilets. It turns out Emily is in a class of her own. I will definitely recommend this restaurant to my friends

We found this pleasure of dining at a steakhouse restaurant in town through Google, and I must say it was an unforgettable experience. From the moment I stepped inside, the warm welcome from their staffs and inviting ambiance set the tone for the evening. The menu offered a wide variety of premium cuts, and after much contemplation, we decided on the Sirloin steak. The dish arrived perfectly cooked to our liking, with a mouthwatering sear on the outside and a juicy, tender center. Each bite was a burst of rich flavor, and the steak was accompanied by a delectable selection of sides that complemented the dish flawlessly. The service was impeccable throughout the meal. The staff was attentive, knowledgeable about the menu, and happy to offer recommendations based on our preferences. The only minor drawback was the sweetness level of the Banana Milkshake, as it was too sweet for us. However, we had informed the counter person on this feedback and hope they may improve in the future....

We have visited twice already in the past month and have enjoyed both visits. Food is delicious and service is good. For steak lovers, this is a new gem in town. My friend had the ribeye and she was not disappointed. Hubby and I had the seafood in ginger broth to start with, followed by the salmon gratin (a must-order for cheese lovers) and the fish and chips (a very generous portion of barramundi). Another friend had the XXL prawn with spaghetti in brown butter sauce, also another winner! The ambience was calm and comfortable. This place is great for gatherings as they've a number of private rooms. Also, there's no need to worry about parking as you can park within the restaurant's compound. Keep up the great work and we'll be back soon!

Emily grew up in Penang, Malaysia and continued her education at Melbourne University, Australia in Hotel & Hospitality. She followed this up with training in various prestigious restaurants and hotels in London before opening her own English restaurant in 2006 personalising it as ‘Emily’s Steakhouse’ with husband Lee.

Head Chef Lee comes from a long line of family Chefs from Hong Kong. He was born into the restaurant industry with the family restaurant still running some 80 years later. The family went on to establish two further eateries specialising in fish & chips that adds up to nearly 100 years of experience.

Chef Lee grew up in England and worked in London restaurants whilst studying for his Bachelor of Art degree in Accountancy. After graduating and training as a Chartered Accountant, he returned to his core passion – good food. He often jokes about one of life’s enjoyment is a satisfied tummy.
